Sensei
Neil McGillivray

Head
Instructor Neil McGillivray is a certified Black Belt Instructor
in Kenpo Karate and Modern Arnis (Filipino Stick Fighting). Neil
has taught hundreds of hours of children's classes, dozens of
self-defense classes to teens at area High Schools in Cambridge
and Kitchener, numerous EZDefense classes for women on University
campuses and community centres, and countless private lessons.
Sensei Neil began training in Martial Arts in Chinese Kenpo Karate
in 1983 under Master Instructor Michael Donovan (7th Dan). He
has recently begun training under Master Instructor Jamie Seabrook
(6th Dan) in American Kenpo under Larry Tatum, the world's highest
ranking Kenpo Instructor (10th Dan). Over the years, Neil
has received direct instruction from: Grand Master Al Tracy
(Tracy's Kenpo), Huk Planas (American Kenpo), Master Timothy
Wakefield (Shaolin Kempo), Master Steve Reynolds (Jujitsu), UFC
Champion Carlos Newton (Grappling), K-1 Champion Michael McDonald
(Kick-boxing), Eight time World Champion Joe Lewis (Kick-boxing),
Datu Tim Hartman (Modern Arnis), Diana Inosanto and Ron Balicki
(Kali Knife Fighting).
Neil McGillivray is uniquely qualified to teach martial arts from
a Christian perspective. He is an experienced Christian
leader. He has been a youth pastor and Bible college
instructor. He is currently an elder at Cedar Creek
Community Church.
The
Leadership Team
The
Leadership team consists of volunteer instructors who teach
alongside Sensei Neil and under his supervision. They
receive advanced training and direction. All of our
instructors are committed to seeing others develop their mind,
body and spirit through the study of martial arts and the Word of
God.
